Last Thursday, in honor of Women's History Month, the Abraham Lincoln Elementary School held its 2nd Annual Women's Forum.
This year’s forum featured influential women who are leaders in their respective fields both here in Revere and surrounding communities.
This year’s panelists included Danielle Mokaba, Revere Public School Assistant Superintendent, Amaka Ubaka, WHDH Boston news anchor, Lucia Robinson-Griggs, head coach of the MIT girls' basketball team, Rebecca Zama, Singer/songwriter and attorney, Doreen DiRienzo, Karate Grandmaster and owner of Revere Karate Academy, Molly McGee, Revere immigration attorney, and Kwani Lunis, NBC Boston host and anchor.
During the forum, the panelists answered questions from Lincoln School students on topics ranging from how they started their careers, the most challenging aspects of being a woman in a leadership role, who or what influenced them to pursue their current careers, and what role education played in getting to where they are today.
